对于众多考研学子来说,写作作为考研英语中的第二大高分题型,其重要性依然不容忽视。考研英语中,写作满分30,其中作为A 节的小作文就占了1/3。根据考研英语大纲的规定,小作文主要考查考生们的应用文写作能力,要求根据规定情境写出一篇约100词的英语应用文,形式主要有日常生活中的私人或商务信函、备忘录、报告等。其中,从2005年-2014年近10年的真题考查中,我们不难发现小作文部分书信考过9次,仅在2010年考了通知。由此可见,在训练应用文写作时,书信仍然是诸多考研学生们的重点所在。

建议信是就与自己密切相关的某个或某些问题向有关个人、部门、机构提出合理性的建议,目的是让对方接受自己的主张,已解决现存问题,因此建议信要求简明扼要、目的明确、建议合理、理由充足,以更好地说服对方接受自身想法。写作时,务必要顾忌收信人的感受,指出对方不足、提出建议时语言要委婉和礼貌,切忌质询、命令的口吻。

一般来说,在考研英语中,建议信的主体部分可按照三个步骤进行,即“三步走”策略。 首段:自我介绍,表明相关; 表扬在先,建议在后。

中段:具体建议细节。

尾段:期望被采纳,表示感谢。

以2007年英语(一) 中的小作文为例:

Write a letter to your university library, making suggestions for improving its service. You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.

Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead. Do not write the address.

中段:Firstly, will you please prolong the time for reading? (建议一)In the daytime, most of the students are having classes, so they cannot come to the library(提出建议一的原因). Moreover, some of the books on shelves are out of date(提出建议二的原因). If you are so kind as to provide us some books such as the latest magazines, we will be very pleased(建议二).

提具体建议时一定要有逻辑,分条进行; 而且建议之后或之前一定要附加提出这条建议的原因所在,以更具有说服力,而不要仅仅罗列数条建议,这样也可以增加作文的篇幅,满足题目所要求的词汇量。

尾段:I really wish to have a more comfortable library(表达期望). Thank you for your time and consideration.(表示感谢)

中段:To resolve the problem, I would like you to refund me my money in full charged for the dictionary(解决方案). Because I have bought a new one owing to urgent need, sending another would be unnecessary(相应原因).
